Tasia is a digital and social media specialist with six years of experience in communications and marketing teams, implementing digital marketing campaigns, and managing social media platforms.

Anada is managing the Equity Conference and Wellness Fair in addition to managing the Project. She has been working in the child welfare system for over 10 years in a variety of different roles.

Nicole is managing the content development and capacity building for Kujenga Wellness Project.

Parenting Support 

Are you struggling with your child’s behavior in the classroom, at home, within recreational activities? Join our parenting programs that support creating change in their family. 

Our Program 

Kujenga Restoration Co-Parenting Program is a 10-12 week support group that focuses upon helping families heal after impacted by separation, divorce, child welfare, trauma, and family conflict.

The program focuses upon helping parents, guardians and caregivers how to create and support a healthy environment for children, and youth, as well as managing the conflict or trauma that the family may experience.

Family Conflict 

Experiencing a challenge in your family system? Sometimes family conflict and disagreement can impact your family’s stability. We can help. Our wellness staff can help determine the underlying issues, and help you develop a plan toward healing and reunification. Contact us for support.

Building resilience in your family's health is a collaborative effort and in a holistic way. Our team explored the risks to family's wellness such as:

  • Health risks
  • Mental health concerns
  • Anti-Black racism
  • Systemic oppression
  • School difficulties

One Vision One Voice (OVOV) is a provincial resource designed to support Black families who come in contact with child welfare. OVOV began in 2015, and since inception has published a framework of practice for Black families and for reshaping services provided to Black families. In addition, OVOV supported the By Blacks directory, provided a central resource depository for services that support Black families. OVOV published the guide to support Black community members who may come in contact with the Society and provide the resources to build their capacity to navigate the system.
