Every community has a complex social infrastructure that protects and enhances the lives of its community members. Resources are available on a city level (municipal) and community level, provincially, and federally. A federal program, for example, is funneled from one of the many Federal Governments to a local municipal or community organization to deliver the funding and programs.
By establishing a navigation system, Kujali hopes to support community members enhance their knowledge and expertise with understanding the multiple levels of government, and how they can access resources to support their family members.
Kujenga Wellness Project, in collaboration with Aset Group Consulting and Counselling Services has complied listings of community-based resources families can access. These lists are dynamic and ever changing.
In March 2021, interns from Aset Group and Kujenga developed a google drive of Black-led and general community resources. The list is maintained on a regular basis. Counsellors from the Kujali line use the resources to support community members access the resources they need.
